The Sixth Congressional District of Virginia is one of the most diverse and beautiful regions in the country. The District extends from Shenandoah County in the north down to Roanoke County in the south. The district borders the Virginia/West Virginia line to the west and extends east into Bedford and Amherst Counties and the City of Lynchburg. Over 675,000 thousand people live in the Sixth Congressional District of Virginia.

Both the George Washington and Jefferson National Forests are found within the District along with the Shenandoah National Park and the Blue Ridge Parkway. You can catch a glimpse of America’s past by visiting the historic cities of Staunton and Lexington, or watching Civil War reenactments throughout the district.
The Sixth Congressional district contains more colleges and universities than any other congressional district in America. It is also has a growing high tech sector and manufacturing industries which provides thousands of good jobs for the citizens of western Virginia.
